One of my favourite kind of dates is watching a movie with my sweetie. I love snuggling up on the sofa with snacks and laughing along as a great movie plays and I am always on the lookout for what to watch next.
On July 18, 2014 Sony is releasing what looks to be a seriously funny movie, Sex Tape. Just watch the trailer to see what I mean! In the movie, the two main characters try to spice up their relationship by making a "romantic" video and that video somehow gets uploaded to the Cloud and gets shown to all their family and friends... I can't even imagine that happening!
Luckily the ways I keep the magic alive are a little more tame. I love packing a picnic full of my sweetie's favourite foods and taking it somewhere romantic. Or spending the weekend hiking and camping in a tiny little tent. And if we just snuggle up on the sofa with a new movie, making a Spicy Chocolate Sauce for ice cream sundaes with a movie never hurts. I always serve mine with cinnamon flavoured kiss jujubes too!

An Olympic Sized Giveaway
I love Christmas but now that it's over I'm ready to start thinking about the 2014 Olympic Games. I cannot wait to wear our Canadian colours proudly, watch the opening ceremony, and start cheering on our amazingly talented athletes.
Every year I like to celebrate the Olympics with themed snacks. I just love making things that will make my friends and family smile and get into the Olympic mood. The food must taste good, be easy to make (so that I don't miss a minute of the excitement), and of course resemble an Olympic sport.
This year I decided to make a fun layered dip topped with a curling end zone. I like to think that it might help the Canadian teams become victorious, but if not, I know it made my family smile. And since Yoplait is a proud supporter of Team Canada at this year's Olympics, I incorporated Yoplait into my recipe.
Read on for my recipe and also for a great giveaway to help you get decked out in style for this year's Olympic Games!

Harry Potter Pumpkin Pasties and a Giveaway!
My post on Harry Potter Butterbeer Cupcakes was so well received that I just had to create a second dish from my favourite movie franchise to share with everyone as a thank you! And if you read on past the recipe, there's a little giveaway opportunity at the end of this post too.
I absolutely love pie so choosing my second Harry Potter themed dish to share with you was incredibly easy. I always envisioned the Pumpkin Patsies sold on the Hogwart's Express as little Cornish Pasties style pies stuffed full of pumpkin. And if those pumpkin filled treats were good enough for Harry, I knew that they'd be perfect for me too.
I know they sound simple, but the magic created when these Pumpkin Pasties bake is truly amazing. But of course we all already knew that because they weren't featured in Harry Potter for nothing!

Kitchen Sink Soup
I know I am ready for winter when I start filling my grocery cart and fridge with more food than I can possibly eat in one week. I just see yummy looking ingredients, detour from my carefully planned list, and fill up my grocery cart. Doing may make me seem like part squirrel, but it also has helped me to come up with really yummy recipes.
Today's recipe is compliments of my having binge bought far too much kale, leeks, and carrots at the farmers market and from having stock piled too many dried beans in my cupboards. And I'm happy it happened because this soup was delicious!

Apple Crisp Granola a la Mode and a Giveaway! #OPAYOPA
Everyday day I get out the door with a full belly is an achievement to me. And when I get out the door with a belly full of something delicious, well that's a great achievement because I'm a sucker for anything delicious.
When I first heard the Yoplait was coming out with a new Greek yogurt, YOPA!, I got excited and could see lots of delicious breakfasts in my future. I have always loved Greek yogurt, but YOPA seems to take the cake because it's really good for you and tastes like it should be considered a dessert.
To celebrate my love of YOPA, I created a yummy Apple Crisp Granola recipe that I like to enjoy "a la mode" with a healthy serving of YOPA Va Va Vanilla Bean. It's the perfect breakfast or the perfect dessert -and I should know because I've it enjoyed it both ways!
Read on for my recipe and a great YOPA giveaway!

YOPA comes in lots of delicious flavours including Mmm Mango Tango, Lotta PiƱa Colada, and my favourite - Va Va Vanilla Bean. Plus there are lots of added benefits with choosing YOPA. YOPA has double the protein of regular yogurt, no fat, no article colours or flavours, no gelatin, and only 80 calories per serving.

International Delight Iced Coffee with a Giveaway
It's a warm day here in Victoria and I am in the mood for something cool and refreshing. Luckily I was given a few coupons to try International Delight's new Iced Coffee. I am not the biggest coffee fan, but I loved this cool, sweet treat. And since a large family sized carton is about the same price as a single serving of iced coffee at some coffee shops, this is the perfect treat for me.
But since today is extra hot, I didn't think that pouring a cool glass of the iced coffee over ice was enough. No, I chose to get a little adventurous and make a little iced coffee ice cream. Since the iced coffee is already made from coffee, milk, sugar, and cream, I didn't even have to add any additional ingredients. All I did was pour two cups into my ice cream maker, turn it on, wait 25 minutes, and voila - iced coffee ice cream!
Interested in trying some International Delight Iced Coffee for free? I have two free coupons for a lucky Canadian reader.

Hearty Breakfast
Have you ever found a flavour of Cheerios you haven't liked? I know I haven't; I've loved every single flavour I've eaten - original, honey nut, peanut butter, apple cinnamon, and chocolate - and I cannot wait to see what's coming up next.

Source of Happiness and a Giveaway!
I bike to work everyday and this month marks the weather where I am finally happy to strap on my helmet and pedal. The cherry trees are in full bloom, it's warmer, and I feel great having gotten a little exercise before sitting at a desk all day.
I like to think I deserve a treat for a pick me up in the afternoon after all that pedalling, but I try to choose something healthy (most days) because staying in shape is why I've taken up biking. Yoplait Source Greek yogurt is one of the best options I have found in a long time for a healthy treat. It's only 50 calories for a serving, it tastes like I am eating something decadent and creamy, and it comes in a great number of flavour options.
If knowing about this delicious new yogurt isn't enough, I am able to gift one lucky reader with a Yoplait Source Greek yogurt kit that includes free coupons to try this new product as well as a $100 Lululemon gift card that could be used to buy new active wear clothes to help you find your Source of happiness!
To earn an entry into this giveaway, all you have to do is tell me what flavour of Yoplait Source Greek yogurt you'd be most interested in trying and for a second entry, just like my Facebook page.
This giveaway will run from now until April 29 and is open to all Canadian residents. You can enter across multiple blogs, but may only win one prize.
And if you're looking for more ways to incorporate Yoplait yogurt into your diet, try this amazing guilt free Healthified Greek Layered Dip recipe from Life Made Delicious. I made my slightly simpler version twice in one weekend and would have made it a third time, but I ran out of hummus!

A Peanut Butter Giveaway!
I have always loved peanut butter. I love peanut butter in a curry, peanut butter in a sandwich, peanut butter in a dipping sauce, and peanut butter in pretty much everything else too.
Peanut butter is one of the only things that can keep me full until lunch, but peanut butter on toast is only so satisfying every single morning. That's why I was super excited when I heard that General Mills was going to be making Peanut Butter Cheerios.
Starting today, on the Life Made Delicious Facebook page, there will be a free bogo coupon for the new Peanut Butter Cheerios. You buy Chocolate, Banana Nut, or Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and you'll get the new Peanut Butter Cheerios for free! The delicious new limited edition Cheerios will appear on shelves on March 4, 2013 and you can redeem your bogo coupon on March 16-17, 2013.
Since the new Cheerios haven't hit the shelves yet, here's a wonderfully easy peanut recipe to tickle your taste buds - Peanut Butter Ripple Brownies!

Discover Your Flavour
Caliente or leve? Hot or mild? What would you choose? At my house that question is always a dilemma.
Most of my family seems to prefer spicy dinners and that's why I am excited to try Old El Paso's new Hot & Spicy Fajita Dinner Kit. But some of my family also leans towards more mild meals, that's why I am also excited to try Old El Paso's new Extra Mild, Super Tasty Hard Taco Dinner Kit and new Mild Taco Seasoning.
They're all great idea for families with busy schedules because you only need about 20 minutes to make something delicious and flavourful, whatever your taste is.

Indulgence You Can Feel Good About and a Summer Giveaway!
Everyday when 3:00pm hits I want to follow the office crowd to the coffee shop for a big chocolate brownie, the vending machine for a bag of crispy chips, or anywhere else when snack foods lay in waiting. Hunger has hit me and I know it won't go away until I eat as much snack food as I get my hands on.
The only problem with snack foods are that they usually have a few more calories than the choice of an apple I usually settle on for snacking. And the only problem with apples is that they usually don't taste quite as good as snack foods....
But I have discovered a few snack foods that don't make me cringe when I see the calorie count and they all taste much better than apples!
Nature Valley Granola Thins have the crispiness I love and come in the chocolate or peanut butter flavours I crave. Plus, they have only 90 calories!
Fibre 1 Brownies come in both chocolate fudge or chocolate peanut butter flavours and celebrate simple deliciousness. Plus, they have only 110 calories!
And I've saved what I think is the best for last. Fibre 1 Chocolate Caramel and Pretzel Bars encompass my holy trinity of chocolate, caramel, and pretzels. Plus, you'll eat 20% of your recommended daily fibre and only consume 100 calories!
These treats show me that the dilemma of choosing between taste and staying healthy is over. I know I will be indulging on a regular basis!
To try a free sample of one of these snack foods, visit Life Made Delicious on Facebook, "like" their page, and request a free sample! The only trick is that you need to request your coupon before July 3, 2012 and you can only redeem your coupon on July 24, 2012, so scope out where these treats are being sold in advance!
And if you tell me in the comment box of this post, or the comment box on my Facebook page, which of the three new Fibre 1 and Nature Valley treats you're looking forward to trying most, I will enter you in my blog's first giveaway - a Fibre 1 and Nature Valley Snack Kit including samples of all the new treats and a special weekender tote ($50 value)!
This is a treat I know you won't want to miss, so if you "like" my Facebook page, you will get a second entry into my giveaway!
Please note that this giveaway is open only to Canadian residents, readers may enter on multiple blogs but may only win one prize, and that this giveaway is running only until July 3, 2012.
