Hallo-Weenies

Some holidays are all about fun and smiling and Halloween is definitely one of them for me. Halloween is for dressing up silly, overindulging on junk food, and having a great time.

To make the holiday extra special, I try and make meals really creative. Sometimes they're on the creepy side, sometimes they're orange and black, and sometimes they're just cute. I'll let you decide what today's post falls into yourself.

Today I am sharing a recipe from Life Made Delicious, Crescent Mummy Dogs. I didn't have any cheese slices on hand, so my version is slightly different, but both version are easy to make and taste delicious!

Crescent Mummy Dogs - makes 10

1 can Pillsbury Crescents
20 small squares of cheddar cheese, about 1 cm square
10 hot dogs (uncooked)
Non stick cooking spray

1. Heat over to 375 and spray a cookie spray with non stick cooking spray.

2. Unroll dough. Slice each triangle into about four - five thin lines. Or slice each rectangle into about 10 thin lines.

3. Take one hot dog and wrap two pieces of cheese around the middle with pieces of dough. The dough will puff and expand during baking, so it's ok if you have a little space. Push back part of the dough "bandages" to leave room for the mummy face if you like.

4. Place the hot dog on the cookie sheet and repeat with remaining hot dogs, cheese, and dough.

5. Bake mummies for 13-17 minutes or until dough is golden brown and hot dogs are hot.
I served my Crescent Mummy Dogs with Tomato "Blood" Soup and everyone had a great time dunking their mummies into their soup!
