I've tried all three flavours now - original, zesty, and sodium free - and it's been the Zesty Herbamare that has spoken most loudly to me. I tried Zesty Herbamare in a Healthy Caesar and that inspired me to make my own salad version of the delicious Canadian drink, a Caesar Salad with Salmon.
Caesar Salad with Salmon - serves 4
4 fillets of salmon
2 teaspoons of Zesty Herbamare (divided)
1/4 cup olive oil (divided)
2 teaspoons horseradish sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup celery leaves
1/4 cup basil leaves
3 cups field greens or baby kale
4 wedges of lemon, for squeezing
1. Heat a pan to medium high heat and then add one tablespoon of oil. Season salmon with 1 teaspoon of Zesty Herbamare and then cook salmon to desired doneness in the pan. Set aside.
2. While your salmon is cooking, whisk together the remaining olive oil, remaining Zesty Herbamare, horseradish sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice for your dressing.
3. Next toss the tomatoes, celery leaves, basil, and greens with enough dressing to just coat the veggies.
4. Serve salad on plates with a piece of salmon and a wedge of lemon for squeezing, if desired.
